Creative Interventions for Mental Health Professionals: Music

Participants jump straight into the various models of music therapy and the different approaches that people in the profession take. This shows the breadth of what music therapy can treat by utilizing varying techniques, depending on the client and their condition. As music therapy has deep historical roots, this online course goes on to discuss the contemporary frameworks and the different types of music used in order to treat various conditions.

Learning Objectives:

1. A survey of the various definitions of music therapy
2. A survey of the components of music and their relation to music therapy
3. A survey of the historical uses of music as therapy
4. A general discussion of the application of music therapy techniques to major disabilities
5. A discussion of professional ethics in the field of music therapy


Course Completion. You will have 60 days for this 6 CEU hour course from the date of registration to complete it. No extensions will be made for the completion of this course!
